Put the glass down and De-stress
I spoke to a lady the other week, who has been coming to my pilates classes for years.
She's immigrating to New Zealand to be near to her family. What an adventure and I totally admire her. Life is for living..
They sold their farm and are off, moving half way around the world to a new life. So amazing, brave, brilliant and takes courage. I wish them the very best wishes as they embark an amazing new journey.
When I was listening, the lady was explaining why she hadn't been for a few weeks. Moving her dad and belongings to Essex Packing up all their belongings and preparing everything for shipping overseas.
Then I was alarmed...... to hear that she had been in hospital, with a suspected heart attack..... OMG.....!!! but all was ok in the end.
After many test, the underlining trigger was STRESS... lots of plates spinning and juggling at the same time but I am so pleased to say all is well now.
Stress is a major player to your health...!!, its dangerous and takes us by surprise.
Think of this for a moment....
If I asked you the question..... "How heavy is this glass of water?" your answers might be 6 oz or 10 or 12oz
but it don't really matter, " the weight of the glass doesn't really matter".
What Matters is
How long you have been holding on to the glass. If it's for a minute, it's not a problem. If it an hour, my arm will start to ache. If I've been holding it for a day, my arm will feel numb, lifeless and probably feel as it its falling off
In each case the weight of the glass don't change, but the longer I hold it, it becomes heavier and heavier.
Now think of this The stresses and worries of life is like the glass of water Think about them for a while and nothing happens Think about them a bit longer and they may start to hurt. Now, If you think about them all day long, all week long all month long you will feel sick and incapable of doing anything.
It's really important to remember to let go of your stresses As early as possible in the evening, put them down don't carry them through the evening and into the night and beyond Remember to put the glass down
Life is to short, enjoy it, live it.
